Harvest is a thriving Christian fellowship of nearly 8,000 that meets on three campuses across the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In addition to his service at Harvest, Dr. Stowell is a ministry partner with RBC Ministries in Grand Rapids, Michigan, partnering in media productions.

Joe also serves on the Board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He is a graduate of Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary and was honored with a doctor of divinity degree from The Master's College in 1987. He served as the seventh president of The Moody Bible Institute from 1987-2005.
